The Tantra Foundation Library is a collection of over 7000 books (primary and secondary literature) and rare archival documents primarily, but not exclusively, devoted to the literature of the Tantras. The Tantric Tradition flourished in South Asia and beyond the borders of their origin in the countries bordering the Himalayan regions: Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, across Southeast Asia down to Bali in Indonesia; in China and Japan in East Asia. This library has a mission of building exhaustive resources on this subject matter which includes research materials on religion, philosophy, arts, occult sciences and living culture.
The core collection of the library is gifted to the foundation by Prof. (Dr.) Madhu Khanna, an alumnus of Oxford University and the founding trustee of the Tantra Foundation, New Delhi. Sponsored by Mr. Krishan Khanna, Chairperson, i-Watch Foundation, Mumbai and designed by Mr. Sandeep Khanna, MD T W Living, Gurugram, the library is managed by the Tantra Foundation, a not-for-profit educational trust devoted to the preservation of the creative genius of Indic and Agamic heritage of India.
